FCP Groton will keep your car well-tuned
with turbocharger
parts to keep any turbocharged European vehicle running strong! Our
parts are
what you need to keep those boost levels steady with a wide array of
turbo
parts including gaskets, intercoolers, hoses, turbo mounting hardware,
solenoids, turbochargers and other related turbo parts. A turbocharger
is a
complex system that needs maintenance and attention to make sure it’s
working
at the optimal level. Don’t let a simple part like a hose keep you from
hitting
maximum boost; FCP Groton has all the turbo parts you need to let you
enjoy
your car to the fullest. Any car guy knows how critical a turbo is to
the performance
of your vehicle. A cracked turbo hose or gasket can take away from the
overall
driving excitement of your car.
The turbocharger system is designed to
increase the power and efficiency of your motor by utilizing a
component called a turbocharger. The turbocharger compresses ambient
air and routes it to the engine for combustion. The engine converts the
highly dense charge of air into an increased level of torque and
horsepower. The turbocharger spins at very high speeds, upwards of 100K
RPMs! The seals of the turbocharger can only handle this high velocity
and temperature for so long before they fail. When the turbo seals
fail, it will cause oil to enter the motor and burn, potentially
causing damage to exhaust components and lowering the efficiency of the
turbocharger itself. Replace your turbocharger today to ensure a
healthy, long lasting motor. The boost pressure solenoid valve controls
the amount of pressure that is allowed to be built up in the
turbocharger. If the turbocharger’s boost level isn’t at what it should
be, either lower or higher than the pre-programmed boost level set at
the factory, replace the boost pressure solenoid to ensure that an over
boost condition doesn’t occur. The turbocharger bypass valve
is another crucial part of the turbo system that allows boost pressure
to be bled when you let off the gas. When the bypass valve fails, you
will hear a fluttering sound emanating from the turbocharger. A damaged
bypass valve should be replaced immediately to ensure that turbocharger
damage does not occur. Find great deals on a new turbocharger or bypass
valve here at FCP Groton!

System Diagnosis & Repair:
- A blown or worn out turbo will result in a substantial loss
in power, some of
the symptoms include loss of boost pressure, turbo noise, increased oil
consumption, fouled spark plugs and excessive smoking on diesel engines.
- When turbo seals fail, it will cause
oil to enter the
motor and burn, potentially causing damage to exhaust components and
lowering
the efficiency of the turbocharger itself. Replace your turbocharger to
ensure
a healthy, long lasting motor.
- Cracked and worn turbo hoses can prevent you from reaching
desired boost levels; damaged
turbo gaskets can also cause a similar problem.
