Oxygen Sensors
An oxygen sensor is often referred to as
an O2 sensor and its main function is to keep your car running at peak
efficiency while controlling the amount of emissions released by your
car. Car oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust and are used to
detect the amount of oxygen needed to oxidize any leftover combustibles
and prevent them from escaping into the atmosphere in the form of
harmful emissions. This information is sent, in real time, to your
engine's ECU, where it is then used to determine what changes need to
be made to the air/fuel ratio in the engine. Over time, oxygen sensors
wear out and may cause your engine to run less efficiently. FCP Groton
offers name brand oxygen sensors to keep you vehicle running
efficiently.
FCP
Groton carries a wide selection of Bosch and Walker Volvo Oxygen
Sensors, BMW Oxygen Sensors, and Oxygen Sensors for other European
Makes and models.
